In short

1. Who we are

MiyeeBooks is built and run by Miyee Tech Labs ("we", "us"), Ahmedabad, Gujarat 380015, India. Contact: miyee.india@gmail.com. This policy explains what personal data MiyeeBooks and MiyeeCredit handle, why, and the choices you have. It is written to meet the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act") and the rules under it; see also our DPDP compliance page.

We do not use advertising or analytics trackers, and we do not build profiles of you. We do not collect biometrics, contacts, call logs or location.

3. Data about other people in your books

Your books contain details of your customers, suppliers and employees. For that data you decide what is recorded and why, and you are responsible for having a lawful reason to keep it (for example, the law requires you to keep invoices and payroll records). We process it only on your instructions, to run MiyeeBooks for you. In the language of the DPDP Act, you are the Data Fiduciary for it and we act as your Data Processor.

4. Where your data is kept, and who helps us

Anthropic (optional)AI bill reading and the AI review of your businessOnly when you use them: a photo of the bill you scan, or a name-free summary of figures and ratios

These providers act on our instructions under their own security and privacy terms. Some of them may process data outside India; we use them only where the law allows it and will follow any restriction the Government of India notifies.

5. When your data is shared

We never sell your data.

6. AI features

AI bill reading and the AI review run only when you choose to use them. The bill reader sends the photo of the bill you scan, using an API key you enter, which stays in your browser. The AI review sends a summary of figures, monthly totals and ratios without names of customers, suppliers or employees. The AI only suggests; nothing is booked or filed without you or your CA.

7. Security

If a personal data breach happens, we will inform affected users and the Data Protection Board of India as the DPDP Act requires.

8. How long we keep data

We keep your books while your account is active, so you have them when you need them. Tax and company law ask businesses to keep books for several years (for example, about six years under GST and eight under the Companies Act); deciding what to keep is your responsibility, and you can export everything at any time. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your account and books from our live systems within 30 days, unless the law requires us to keep something. When you withdraw consent, the papers are removed from MiyeeCredit at once; when the 90 days end, the lender's view closes and the papers are removed from MiyeeCredit.

9. Your rights and choices

10. Children

MiyeeBooks is for businesses and is not meant for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data of children; if a child's data has been entered, write to us and we will remove it.

11. Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect. The date at the top shows the current version.
